Our farm of 22 hectares is located in Calabria on the ionic coast, on the hillside estates of Strongoli “the ancient Petelia”, where the soil and the microclimate have been ideal for olive cultivation since ancient time.
Since 1996, Del Monaco uses organic farm processing conforming to the A.I.A.B., now called ICEA.
To assure the high-quality and organoleptic features of our oil, our olives are harvested by hand at precisely the right time and traditionally first cold pressed within 24 hours. Also, the extracted oil is not filtered. Furthermore, our olive oil is filled in dark glass bottles for avoiding its oxidation. By this way, the oil preserves all its essences.

Low level of acidity (0.5 max.) and peroxides (10º max.).
From our monoculture of secular Olivo once imported by Basilian monks, we produce an extra-virgin oil of medium maturity. Taste its exceptional flavour from our ‘Flavia’ 0,50 l bottle.
As well, we produce unique extra-virgin oil obtained through a mixture of olives that originate from twelve different tree cultivars of average age of 300 years and these growing exclusively in our region, namely known as “Tonda Strongolese”. Experiment the light prickling flavour from our ‘Antica’ 0,50 l bottle and the medium sweet one from ‘Alma’ 0,75 l or 1 l bottles.
Since centuries olive oil obtained with traditional method is at the basis of the Mediterranean diet and is nowadays appreciated as a symbol of genuine flavour but also, for its nutritional values and antioxidant priorities.
As olive oil is an “alive food”, we suggest enjoying it cold with different kind of food so you can appreciate its characteristic flavour as well as its unmistakable fragrance.
